Hello everyone!

I'm Miguel, a Doctor of Contemporary History.

For those who know me, you know that my specialization is social history and the labor movement. That's why we'll dedicate this route to:

"LA BARCELONA OBRERA, ANARQUISTA Y REBELDE"

Chronologically, this is the first of the trilogy of routes dedicated to the social history of Barcelona (although each one can be done independently and in any order).

It seems that present-day Barcelona is determined to bury its anarchist past. Not on our watch. If you enjoy unconventional (even politically incorrect) themed routes, this one is for you. We'll explore mythical, yet lesser-known, places in the history and origins of the Barcelona labor movement.

We'll discover the dimension and social presence of anarchism in our city, while discussing strikes, bombs, insurrections, persecutions, and cultural gatherings. Through this, we'll learn about the key events in the history of the city's labor movement during the 19th and 20th centuries, using the implantation and development of anarchist ideas in Barcelona as our guiding thread.
