Discover the Breathtaking Vall de Lord, Hike to the Lord Sanctuary - one of Catalonia's most spectacular viewpoints - and Visit Solsona

On this occasion, we propose a complete and beautiful excursion to the region of Solsonès, in the heart of Catalonia. An excursion that includes a guided visit to the beautiful town of Solsona, the regional capital and one of the best-preserved medieval centers in Catalonia, as well as a lovely hike from Sant Serni de Grau (in Sant Llorenç de Morunys) to the Lord Sanctuary, where we can enjoy one of the most impressive and breathtaking views in Catalonia.

Hike to the Lord Sanctuary from Sant Serni de Grau
A beautiful 9km (round trip) route that allows us to discover one of the most symbolic natural environments in the Vall de Lord. Starting at the Romanesque hermitage of Sant Serni del Grau, the route goes up to the Mola de Lord, where we can enjoy fantastic views of the Lord Valley and the La Llosa del Cavall reservoir.

The route (on dirt road and asphalt track) does not present any technical difficulty, but there is a certain slope (192 meters) and in the final stretch, there are many stairs to climb (10 minutes).

Visit Sant Llorenç de Morunys
Sant Llorenç de Morunys, located in the heart of the Vall de Lord, is a medieval town with well-preserved walls and a beautiful church of Romanesque origin.

Visit Solsona
Solsona, the regional capital, is a small city with an extremely interesting monumental heritage.

The Itinerary:

• 8:00 AM: We will meet at Plaça Universitat - in front of the University - to take the bus. Please, be punctual!
• 10:00-10:30 AM: Brief breakfast/coffee in Sant Llorenç de Morunys
• 10:30 AM-1:30 PM: Hike to the Lord Sanctuary
• 1:30-2:30 PM: Picnic lunch at the Lord Sanctuary
• 2:30-4:00 PM: Hike back to Sant Llorenç de Morunys
• 4:00-4:30 PM: Brief guided visit in Sant Llorenç de Morunys
• 4:30-5:00 PM: Bus ride to Solsona
• 5:00-6:00 PM: Guided visit in Solsona
• 6:00 PM: Return bus ride, arriving in Barcelona around 8:00 PM.
