Experience an exciting weekend in eastern Occitania (France) with visits to Sète, the Venice of Languedoc; Montpellier, a beautiful and vibrant university city; and Nimes, the little Rome of France.

Enjoy a very intense weekend in southern France with a tour of the coastline of Occitania, a region with exceptional natural, historical, and cultural heritage. This two-day getaway includes accommodation in a centrally located and comfortable 4-star hotel in the center of Montpellier, allowing us to visit Sète, the Venice of Languedoc and the birthplace of Paul Valéry; enjoy a guided tour -with a local guide- of Montpellier, a beautiful university city and one of the liveliest places in France; and visit the old town of Nimes, known as the little Rome of France for its impressive Roman amphitheater and its spectacular temple, the famous Maison Carré.

EXPLORE AND DINE IN SÈTE, THE VENICE OF LANGUEDOC
Situated between the Mediterranean Sea and the Thau Lagoon, Sète is a charming city. The old port, canals, bridges, and buildings with beautiful colorful facades have earned it the nickname "the Venice of Languedoc". The small city is the largest fishing port in the Mediterranean and a favorite destination for seafood lovers. It's an ideal place to spend a few hours and enjoy its splendid seafood cuisine.

GUIDED TOUR AND NIGHT IN MONTPELLIER
Strolling through the ancient and Mediterranean city of Montpellier, the second largest city in the region and the birthplace of King James I of Aragon, is always a pleasure. In its historic center, a dense network of medieval streets, you can find beautiful mansions from the 17th to the 19th centuries, as well as original examples of street art.

The Place de la Comédie is the heart of the city, dividing the medieval part from the modern expansion. Wandering and getting lost in its surroundings is the best way to discover and enjoy the old Montpellier, which can boast of having the oldest medical school in the world and one of the most prestigious universities in France. In Montpellier, we also find the famous Antigone neighborhood, designed by the Catalan Ricardo Bofill.

GUIDED WALK IN NIMES, THE LITTLE ROME OF FRANCE
The historic city of Nîmes is known for its spectacular historical heritage and its lively and southern atmosphere. The impressive Roman amphitheater, with a capacity of 24,000 spectators, is one of the best-preserved in the world. Another star monument of the city is the Maison Carrée, a splendid Roman temple from the late 1st century. Nimes also has a small but picturesque old town and a beautiful romantic park: the Jardin de la Fontaine.

THE ITINERARY:

Saturday, October 14:
1- Departure from Barcelona by private coach (7:30 am). Stop for breakfast during the journey
2- Arrival in Sète, free time for lunch and guided walk
3- Coach to Montpellier and check-in at the hotel
4- Dinner together at a restaurant in the city center (option to have dinner on your own)

Sunday, October 15:
1- Breakfast at the hotel
2- Guided tour in Montpellier
3- Coach to Nimes
4- Free time for lunch
5- Visit to the Roman amphitheater and the Maison Carré
6- Return by coach, arriving in Barcelona at around 9 pm
