🤝 What is GLEX?

GLEX, short for 'Gyeonggi Language EXchange', is an extensive language exchange meetup that has been flourishing since 2015 in Gyeonggi Province, boasting over 3,600 members. We offer a complimentary language exchange program called 'GLEXathon', where Koreans and foreigners can practice languages such as Korean, English, and Chinese. If you’re keen to enhance your language skills or explore a new language, don't hesitate to register!

⏰ Meetup Schedule:
Join us every Wednesday – the first round runs from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, followed by the second round starting at 9:30 PM.

🌏 Location:
The first round takes place at '2morrow Cafe', while the second round is hosted at 'Free Style' Pub. '2morrow Cafe' is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Jungang Station, right in front of the Lotte Cinema Central Rock building.

💸 Cost:
Participation is absolutely FREE! However, please remember to order at least one beverage during your visit.

✌ Optional Second Round:
For those interested, the second round gathers at 'Free Style' Pub, situated in the basement of the 'Dalcomm Coffee' building. Enjoy games like pocket billiards and darts, and socialize freely with fellow attendees.

✅ How to Join GLEX (Mandatory Steps):
STEP 1: If you don’t have an account, please sign up on the Meetup site.
STEP 2: On the GLEX Meetup page, select the day you want to join and click the RSVP button. We look forward to welcoming those genuinely interested in attending.
STEP 3: Send your name, Meetup account name, and contact number to the organizer via text message at 010-8900-0579 or on KakaoTalk using ID: yologlex for verification purposes.
STEP 4: Arrive with a positive mindset and inform the organizer of your identity upon arrival. It’s okay if you arrive a little late.

• If you’re even slightly interested in attending, please register.
• Cancellations can be made at any time through the site or by contacting the organizer.
• RSVPs are accepted until 6:30 PM on the day of the event.
• While there are no penalties for not attending after registering, we kindly ask that you refrain from making it a habit.
• It’s preferable to register and not show up than to attend without an RSVP (unregistered attendance is not permitted).

💸 COST:
There is absolutely NO COST to join. Of course you should pay for any food or drinks that you might want to have at the venue. Every attending member is required to order at least one beverage.

✌ THE (OPTIONAL) SECOND ROUND:
Feel free to join us for our after Meetup gathering at 'Free Style' Pub located in the basement of the 'Dalcomm Coffee' building. Attendees are not obligated to do or pay for anything.

✅ REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN (MANDATORY):
STEP 1: Please sign up for an account at our Meetup site if you don't already have one.
STEP 2: To register that you will attend, please click the RSVP registration button on the GLEX Meetup page for the day that you would like to attend. Please do not register to attend if you are not serious about attending.
STEP 3: Send a message including your real name and Meetup account name along with contact number to the organizer by text message to 010-8900-0579 or by KakaoTalk to ID: yologlex. (Your name and number helps us identify who you are for the sake of our other members.)
STEP 4: Show up with a positive attitude and let the organizer know who you are. Being a little late is no problem at all.

• Please RSVP and register to join anytime you think you might attend.
• RSVP cancellations can be made through our site at anytime (or cancel by contacting an organizer).
• Registrations to attend can be made until 6:30PM on the day of the Meetup.
• Although there is no penalty for those who RSVP and not show up, please don't make a habit of it.
• It's better to RSVP and not show than to show up without RSVPing (Attending without registering is NOT allowed.)
