Join us for a unique experience at KOYA, a community initiative centered around children, taking place on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM. This event aims to foster community engagement by allowing participants to enjoy fun activities with local kids. Whether you want to play games, read picture books, assist with homework, or teach art and music, this event is a great opportunity to connect with children and support their growth. We are actively seeking like-minded individuals to join us in this rewarding endeavor. Note that while the primary language of communication will be Japanese, all nationalities are welcome to participate. If you wish to visit on another date, please contact HASE for arrangements.

KOYA was established in January 2023, operating out of a small house stocked with toys and books for local children to enjoy. Initially, we focused on DIY projects, such as building bookshelves, and have gradually opened our space on Wednesday and Sunday evenings since August 2024. Occasionally, we also hold special Saturday sessions. Our aim is to combine play with educational activities, like tutoring in math, while nurturing a sense of community. Although we operate with a volunteer spirit, KOYA is primarily a community initiative driven by passion rather than formal governance, functioning on a small budget without the structure of an NPO.

Note: While we plan to hold events on Saturdays, if there are no participants by Wednesday, we may postpone. This event serves a dual purpose of promoting our activities, and we welcome visitors at any time. To arrange a visit, please message HASE.
