Join us for an exhilarating day trip to the breathtaking Izta-Popo National Park, home to the majestic Iztaccihuatl, a dormant volcano standing at 5,230 meters, shaped like a sleeping woman, and the active Popocatépetl, which reaches 5,426 meters. Located just 2.5 hours from Mexico City in the State of Mexico, this adventure promises stunning views and rich history.

Our hike is designed to cater to all levels of adventurers. We will ascend from 3,800 to approximately 4,200 meters, allowing ample time for acclimatization. Whether you prefer to soak in the spectacular scenery and fresh air or challenge yourself with an optional trek towards the Izta volcano, the choice is yours!

We will also traverse the historic Paso de Cortés. This significant route is named after Hernán Cortés, who led his men over this pass in 1519 after the battle of Cholula, making their way to the Valley of Mexico and Tenochtitlán to confront the Aztecs and their emperor, Moctezuma. Legend has it that some of Cortés' soldiers even climbed Popocatépetl during this journey, retrieving sulfur from the crater to create gunpowder.

To secure your spot for this unforgettable experience, please ensure payment is made 5 to 10 days in advance, which allows us to arrange appropriate transportation based on group size.

The total cost is 1,050 Mexican Pesos, which covers private transportation for the group, an experienced driver, a knowledgeable coordinator, guided explanations in Spanish, and entrance fees to the National Park.
