Join us for an extraordinary journey to the spectacular Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary 'El Rosario', an unparalleled natural wonder!

Nestled in the heart of the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt, the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that serves as a crucial over-wintering habitat for millions of monarch butterflies. Located approximately 100 km (62 miles) northwest of Mexico City, this breathtaking reserve spans over 56,000 hectares of lush pine-oak forests straddling the borders of Michoacán and Mexico State. Each year, countless butterflies migrate to this sanctuary from October to March, making it an essential site for both conservation and appreciation of this remarkable species.

Prepare for an invigorating uphill trek lasting about 1.5 hours. We'll take our time to acclimatize to the altitude of 3,000 meters and relish the stunning vistas of the forest and fluttering Monarchs. For those who prefer a bit more comfort, horseback riding options are available.

To secure your spot, please ensure payment is made 5 to 7 days prior to the tour date. This will help us arrange suitable transportation based on the number of participants.

The tour fee is 1,250 Mexican Pesos, which includes private transportation for the group, an experienced driver, a dedicated tour coordinator, and entrance to the Butterfly Sanctuary.

We will commence our adventure with a pickup at Angel de la Independencia.
