Join us for an exciting day trip to the stunning archaeological site of Xochicalco and the picturesque Lake Tequisquitengo on Sunday, January 19, 2025, starting at 7:30 AM!

Discover Xochicalco
Xochicalco, meaning "in the house of flowers" in Nahuatl, is a remarkable pre-Columbian archaeological site located in the western region of Morelos, Mexico. This site features intriguing architecture and iconography that reflect influences from Teotihuacan, the Maya civilization, and the Matlatzinca culture of the Toluca Valley. At the heart of Xochicalco lies a ceremonial center situated on an artificially leveled hill, surrounded by residential structures and extensive terraces. Originally occupied around 200 BC, it flourished as an urban center during the Epiclassic period (AD 700 – 900), boasting a peak population of approximately 20,000 inhabitants.
