Join us as we venture into the picturesque southern region of Mexico City, particularly the stunning rural landscapes near Xochimilco. Here, you will embark on a memorable boat ride aboard a traditional Trajinera, visiting a historic Chinampa—an island crafted during pre-Hispanic times.

During our boat journey, a certified bilingual guide will share fascinating insights about the origins and significance of Día de Muertos, celebrated as one of Mexico's most cherished traditions. Indulge in the flavors of traditional Pan de Muertos and hot chocolate as we sail.

Upon reaching the Chinampa, immerse yourself in the beauty of a vibrant field of Cempasúchil flowers (Marigolds; please note that flowers may be harvested after October 28th) and discover the profound symbolism of this flower for the Day of the Dead festivities.

Together, we will create a traditional altar/offerings, learning about the meaning behind each element. Additionally, we will embark on a virtual journey to Mictlan, the Aztec afterlife, exploring the nine levels that souls must traverse to reach this sacred realm.

Join us to delve deep into the essence of Día de Muertos and celebrate the Day of the Dead in authentic Aztec style, all while enjoying the tranquility of nature with a small group of fellow enthusiasts.

The experience is priced at 1350 pesos, which includes transportation, a Trajinera boat ride, hot chocolate, Pan de Muertos, a knowledgeable guide, and all the enriching activities listed above.

Advance payment is required, which can be made in cash at any 7 Eleven store or via cash deposit at any Banamex bank. For international participants, payments can also be processed through Wise.
