Known as "Stacked Stones" in English, the Piedras Encimadas Valley is a breathtaking landscape situated in the Zacatlán municipality of Puebla, central Mexico. This area is renowned for its unique basalt rock formations, sculpted by the forces of erosion over millions of years. Spanning approximately 100 to 400 hectares, much of this stunning region is privately owned and has been developed for tourism, making it an ideal destination for nature walks and exploration!

Zacatlán, a charming town nestled in the Sierra Norte de Puebla, is famous for its apple orchards, cider production, and delightful fruit wines. These local specialties are celebrated during the annual Feria de la Manzana and Festival de la Sidra. Additionally, Zacatlán is home to the historic Relojes Centenario company, the first clock factory in Latin America, which created the iconic double-sided flower clock in the town's main square. The historic center boasts picturesque traditional houses adorned with red tile roofs. In 2011, Zacatlán was honored with the designation of "Pueblo Mágico," a testament to its cultural significance.
