• To reach the heart of the butterfly colony, we will embark on a moderate uphill hike lasting approximately 40 minutes. Please note that the location of the colony may vary each night as they search for optimal conditions to survive. The altitude at the sanctuary ranges from 3000 to 3500 meters (9800 to 11450 feet), but we will take it slow to acclimate.

• Ensure your comfort by wearing sturdy and comfortable walking shoes, dressing in warm layers, and bringing sweet and salty snacks as well as water. As a way to support the local community, we will enjoy breakfast and lunch prepared by them.

During this excursion, we will also have the opportunity to explore the picturesque State of Mexico.
