Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that serves as the over-wintering habitat for millions of monarch butterflies. Nestled in the breathtaking Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt pine-oak forests ecoregion, this reserve spans across Michoacán and Mexico State, just 100 km (62 miles) northwest of Mexico City.

Embark on a scenic uphill walk that takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, allowing you to acclimate to the altitude of 3000 meters while taking in the mesmerizing views of the forest and the graceful Monarch Butterflies. If you prefer, horses are also available for a more leisurely ascent.

To ensure a seamless experience, please make your payment 5 to 7 days in advance of the tour date. This will enable us to arrange the appropriate transportation for the group.

The price for this extraordinary adventure is 1050 Mexican Pesos per person, which includes private transport, an experienced driver, a coordinator, and entrance to the Butterfly Sanctuary.
