Join us for an unforgettable experience at the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary ´El Rosario´, the largest sanctuary of its kind in the world.

Located in the breathtaking Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt pine-oak forests ecoregion, on the border of Michoacán and Mexico State, this World Heritage Site is home to the over-wintering habitats of the majestic monarch butterfly population. Every year, millions of butterflies grace the preserve, creating a mesmerizing spectacle.

To reach the sanctuary, we will embark on a scenic uphill walk that takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. Don't worry, we'll take it at a leisurely pace, allowing you to acclimate to the altitude of 3000 meters and soak in the breathtaking views of the forest and the fluttering monarch butterflies. For those who prefer a more relaxed journey, horses are available.

To ensure a smooth and comfortable trip, please make your payment 5 to 7 days in advance. This will allow us to arrange the right transport for the appropriate number of participants.

The cost of this extraordinary experience is 1050 Mexican Pesos per person. This includes private transportation for the group, an experienced driver, a coordinator to guide you throughout the journey, and entrance to the Butterfly Sanctuary.
