Join us for an unforgettable adventure at the magnificent Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary ´El Rosario´.

Located in the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt pine-oak forests ecoregion, this World Heritage Site is home to the over-wintering habitats of the monarch butterfly population. Every year, millions of butterflies migrate to the sanctuary. From October to March, you can witness the breathtaking sight of these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. The biosphere's mission is not only to protect the butterfly species, but also their precious environment.

Prepare for a moderate uphill hike that takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. We will take our time to acclimate to the altitude (3000 meters) and savor the stunning views of the forest and the Monarch Butterflies. If needed, horses are available for assistance.

To secure your spot, please make the payment 5-7 days before the tour date. This will allow us to arrange the appropriate transportation for the number of participants.

The tour price is 1650 Mexican Pesos per person, which includes private group transport, an experienced driver, coordinator, and entrance to the Butterfly Sanctuary.
