Join us for an unforgettable experience at the magnificent Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary ´El Rosario´, the largest sanctuary of its kind in the world.

Nestled in the breathtaking Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt pine-oak forests, the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that serves as the over-wintering home for millions of monarch butterflies. Stretching across 56,000 hectares on the border of Michoacán and Mexico State, this reserve is dedicated to protecting not only the butterfly species but also its precious habitat.

Embark on a leisurely hike uphill for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, allowing you to acclimate to the altitude of 3000 meters while immersing yourself in the stunning views of the forest and the enchanting monarch butterflies. For those who prefer a more relaxed journey, horses are available for assistance.

To ensure a seamless experience, we kindly request payment 5 to 7 days prior to the tour date. This allows us to arrange the appropriate transportation for the group.

The tour is priced at 1050 Mexican Pesos per person and includes private transport, an experienced driver, a coordinator, and entrance to the Butterfly Sanctuary.
