To fully immerse ourselves in the heart of the butterfly colony, we'll embark on a steep uphill hike that takes approximately 1.5 hours. The exact location of the colony varies nightly as the butterflies search for optimal conditions to thrive. At an elevation of 3000 to 3500 meters (9800 to 11450 feet), we'll take it slow to acclimate to the altitude. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress in warm layers. Don't forget to pack some sweet and salty snacks along with water to keep you energized.

During this trip, we'll also have the opportunity to explore the captivating State of Mexico, uncovering its hidden gems and cultural treasures.
