Teotihuacán, a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts the most architecturally significant Mesoamerican pyramids in the pre-Columbian Americas. At its prime, Teotihuacán was the largest city in the pre-Columbian Americas, with a population exceeding 125,000. It stood among the top six largest cities globally during its era. The city was established around 100 BC and witnessed continuous construction until approximately 250 AD. Although it may have endured until the 7th or 8th centuries AD, its major monuments were looted and deliberately burned around 550 AD.
