La Llorona en Tlahuac - Open air theatre with boat ride, Sat, Nov 4, 2023, 5:00 PM

Join us for an unforgettable experience at the enchanting open air theater performance of La Llorona in Tlahuac. Immerse yourself in the rich Mexican culture as we embark on a traditional trajinera boat ride to reach the venue.

We will pick you up at either Metro Etiopia or Metro Chilpancingo in Mexico City at 5:00 PM. From there, we will drive for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to the Port of Tlahuac, where the traditional trajinera boats await us.

As dusk falls, we will embark on a serene boat ride through a picturesque channel, leading us to a beautiful garden where the theater performance will take place. Accompanied by live music, the show is a visual and musical masterpiece, allowing you to fully enjoy this incredible event even if you don't speak Spanish.

The legend of La Llorona is deeply ingrained in Mexican popular culture, depicting the tale of a vengeful ghost who roams near bodies of water, mourning her drowned children after succumbing to a jealous rage upon discovering her husband's infidelity.

The event will commence at 7:30 PM, providing ample time before and after the show to appreciate the exquisite altars and Day of the Dead decorations in the garden along the channel. Indulge in traditional Mexican food and drinks, adding to the overall cultural experience. We will return to the meetup place at approximately 11:45 PM.

The price for this unique experience is 950 pesos, which includes round-trip transportation for our small group, the boat ride, and the ticket to the La Llorona event. The duration of the experience is from 5:00 PM to 11:45 PM.
