AGUASCALIENTES MY LAND

In Mexico, Aguascalientes is known as land of warm hearts.

The slogan on the shield of Aguascalientes says: "CLEAR WATER, CLEAR SKY, GOOD LAND AND GOOD PEOPLE ".

It's from the smallest state and it's located in the center of the Mexican Republic. The name of Aguascalientes is due to the hot springs of the area.

My State has a railroad heritage, architecture, sports and cultural infrastructure; to know the customs and stories to five oldest neighborhood which are: SAN MARCOS, GUADALUPE, LA ESTACION, EL ENCINO AND LA SALUD.

Aguascalientes become active region of vineyard, make its table wines, brandy, aguardiente and other fruit liqueurs, Aguascalientes boasts a rich culinary tradition, his bread from Calvillo and el ate, a traditional solid candy.

The most traditional are embroidery and de-theradring process.

Since 1997 Aguascalientes contribution to growth in the manufacture of electronic, mechanical products, metal and automobiles.

The great artists, the painter Saturnino Herrán and the engraver José Guadalupe Posada, the author of La Catrina were born in Aguascalientes.

In April and May, we celebrate our National Fair of San Marcos with multiple activities and in November our celebrate the festival of the skull; both are full of tradition, joy, art and culture.
