About me

Por favor, necesito películas y progamas de tele en español, ¡especialamente de españa! Me gusta: acción, ficción ciencia, aventuras y inspirador. por ejemplo: grupo de hermanos, identidad de bourne, señor de los anillos, el hobbit, star trek (sólo próxima generación) etc. ¡Gracias! If you ever want me to correct something that you write or if you have a question about English, just message me and I will try to help! :) I am learning Spanish (Castellano) and have been studying for a little more than 6 weeks. I would like to learn other languages too but I do not actually know anything about them, even though the website says I am a beginner in those languages. I want to travel to Spain in 2014 and would like to learn to speak Castellano fluently. I also would like to make new friends, travel partners I watch alot of Netflix (TV/Movies) I like Batman and I am: Philosophical/spiritual Musician Athletic Gamer Intelligent Sports fan (extreme sports only, ie MMA, SCUBA) Entrepreneurial Linguist/cultural enthusiast Not academic Reserved Unorganized I have big dreams/goals Here is something helpful for all language learners, especially if you are studying English. The average native English speaker will know 20,000 active (meaning used regularly) words by the time they finish college, with an even larger number of words that they know passively (meaning they know the word in context of a sentence, or are familiar with it if they hear it spoken but they do not actually use the word). Here is the best part, 95% of conversation (and text i.e. newspaper, books etc.) is comprised of only 5000 words. So, to be fluent in English, you actually only need to learn 5000 words! :D I have read online that this also applies to many other languages, it is not an exact number but it is still a great guideline. So if you learn the 5,000 most common words and then an additional several thousand words that are specifically about a subject you like (maybe sports or something) then that means you are fluent! :D It should not take more than 2 years MAX to learn that if you use something like Anki. Also, when it comes to grammar, do not worry about it to much until after you have perfect your pronunciation and learned at least 2,000 words. It is much easier (in my opinion) to learn grammar in the context of a conversation that to try to sit down and learn it out of a book :P There you have it! A little bit about me and my approach to language learning :)
