About me
Originally, I'm from Belgium. My maternal tongue is Dutch /Flemish. Belgium has 3 national languages, and I decided to specialise in languages at an early age, so I learned Latin, English, French and German in high school. My French and German have fallen in disrepair though.
After high school, I lived in Krasnodar as an exchange student for a year, to learn Russian and get a head start for college. I went to the Higher Institute for Interpreters where I majored in Translation for Russian, English and Dutch. I also had some Spanish and Arabic along the way.
Dutch and English are the only two languages I feel comfortable enough in, though I can definitely manage to get myself home in French and Russian - and the Germans will understand my bastardised, germanised Dutch well enough.
Suffice to say, language, and in a broader sense, communication is my passion. Psychology and animal behaviourism are my other passions - essentially other forms of communication ;)
Recently, I was kidnapped by my very own Viking to Norway, giving me a new challenge to learn Norwegian - and that's why Im here!
