NavyBound2017 - Profile

Academics: I'm currently enrolled in 5 honors/AP courses at my highschool, including Spanish III Honors. I've been learning Dutch for about 8 months using Duolingo. I have a goal to be fluent (or as close to fluent as possible) in at least three foreign languages by the time I'm in my thirties. When I go to college, I'm going to major in Aerospace Engineering and probably minor in Mechanical Engineering. I'm hoping to attend the United States Naval Academy. Sports: I've played softball since I was five and for the past 8 years, I have been my team's starting catcher, but play first and third base, as well. I've been playing tennis with my high school for three years and have played on varsity for two. I played volleyball for two years in middle school, but when our sports teams were combined with those of our sister school, I stopped playing, because the coaches were from the other school and were showing favoritism towards their students. Music: I've been playing the trombone since fourth grade in first chair. I just recently began playing the trumpet as well, and dabble in the guitar and piano. I've been a singer, though never in a choir, since I was about five. I'm currently involved with a Christian youth theatre. I've been in Shrek the Musical, Robin Hood the Musical (Gertrude), Hairspray (Edna), You're a Good Man Charlie Brown (dancer), Seussical the Musical (dancer), and was just recently cast in Annie Jr. as Ms. Hannigan.
