Hello! My name is Blanca, I’m from Madrid, Spain, born and raised there. I moved to Portugal five years ago for studies and I stayed here doing a PhD in Linguistics, specialised in Discourse Analysis. I absolutely LOVE languages, always have, always will. I speak fluently Portuguese, English and French (although it’s been a couple of years since I practice, so I would like to refresh it), besides Spanish, of course. I’m teaching myself Italian and I am also learning Chinese and Hawaiian. Also, some years ago I lived 6 months in Serbia and learnt some Serbian. I fell in love with that language, but it is extremely hard to find time for everything , so I’ve forgotten most of it. I will eventually go back to Serbian, but it is nor my current priority. This year, I’ve made a resolution: I want to become a hyperpolyglot, and by the age of 30 I intend to speak 10 languages. We’ll see how that goes, but right now I’m super excited! This year I will focus on practicing as much Italian as I can, refreshing my knowledge of French and continue learning Chinese. So, for now, I’m looking for someone who can help me with Italian and French conversation. Also, if anyone happens to know how to speak ’Olelo Hawai’i it would be a-ma-zing, since I am fascinated with that language, but cannot find anyone to speak to. In exchange, I can help you with Spanish (I’m also a Spanish teacher so I can solve any doubt you might have), as well as with Portuguese. My interests are mainly languages and literature, music, art, nature and animals, though I like pretty much everything, I have many interests.
