Hello! Bonjour! はじめまして! :) I'm Alice, and I live in the UK. I speak English and have been learning French for 7 years, I'm at an intermediate/advanced level. I also know basic Japanese... and I mean VERY basic! I'm tying to teach myself from textbooks and the internet, but it's no match for having real lessons. I have applied to study for a BA in Japanese at SOAS in September... So as long as all goes well in my exams this June, I will be learning Japanese properly in no time! I'm doing my A-Levels at the moment: English Language, English Literature and French. I love languages, so I'm happy to have a go at any language anybody wants to try and teach me. I wouldn't mind chatting in English or French to anyone who wants to add me on msn, just ask! I'll definitely help you with learning English if you want. Be warned, my French conversational skills are a bit poor. We learn about weighty topics in our lessons, (racism, sexism, family problems, trade in the European union) which aren't exactly brilliant topics for chatting to a friend about! So if I mess up in any way whilst talking to you in French, (or any language) please correct me, I certainly won't think you're being rude. I'd like to learn how modern French people actually talk, so that I will be able to sound more natural, and not as if I'm reading from a textbook that's 10 years out of date! I would also love to chat to a Japanese person who knows English fairly well, and is patient enough to try and help me with the basics of Japanese.
