Hello,
We use them for different purposes. One of them is that we use it in the sentence if the verb consists of a word with a name,you can put them at last. For example :My name is Gözde - Benim adım Gözde'dir.(Gözde'dir: verb( but its not contained real verb; Gözde:name) // It is a new building which is at the corner. - Köşedeki yeni bir binadır.(binadır: verb (the same; Bina:name)
Second one is that we use it when we want to specify somethings in future,contınuous or past tense. For example: All transactions completed - İşlemlerin hepsi tamamlanmıştır. (past tense) // All transactions are completed.-İşlemlerin hepsi tamamlanmaktadır.(continuous tense)//All transactions will be completed.-İşlemlerin hepsi tamamlanacaktır.(dır-->tır. this is a language rule) (future tense)
