Hi, I’ve got a question: my Turkish book shows me that the personal suffixes of the verbs which don’t follow the -dİ -sE classes, have, at the third person, (dİr). when do I have to put it?

If the last vowel in a word which takes this suffix is (A or I) then the suffix should be DIR
If the last vowel in the word which takes this suffix is (E,İ) then the suffix should be DİR
If the last vowel in the word which takes this suffix is (O,U) then the suffix should be DUR
If the last vowel in the word which takes this suffix is (Ö,Ü) then the suffix should be DÜR

It indicates either formal usage or estimation.
Formal Usage
He is fine - O iyi (Colloquial and more common)
He is fine - O iyi+dir (Formal rarely)
Estimation
He is fine - O iyi (It indicates that i saw him)
He is fine - O iyidir (I guess he is fine or maybe he is fine.)

All these are also valid for verbs

-İ follows the little vowel harmony and -E the big one
