Not all the meanings of ”have” in English are equivalent to all the meanings of one word in Thai. I mean that each meaning of ”have” in English could correspond to different words in Thai. That depends on contexts. I guess you would like to know ”have” with the meaning of possession in Thai, which is a general and basic meaning of ”have”. If it is the case, you can say ”mee” (mī มี).

Example : Chan mee pee sao nueng kon
I have older sister one person (noun classifier for person). (word-to-word translation)
I have one older sister. (meaning-based translation corresponding to natural usage in English)

After the verb ”mee”, you can add other nouns (people, animals or things) that you want to talk about.

Example : 1. baan (with ”lang” as classifier) = house
Chaan mee baan song lang = I have two houses.

                 2. rong tao (with ”koo” as classifier) = shoes
Chann mee rong tao saam koo = I have three pairs of shoes.

Sometimes, you can omit noun classifiers if you don’t want to put emphasis on numbers of nouns.

This is how to say ”have” with the meaning of possession in Thai. For ”have” with other meanings in English, contexts should be taken into account to find their equivalent words in Thai.

Hope this can help you, more or less.
