Metsatöll is the most famous Estonian folk metal band. 'Oma laulu ei leia ma üles' [I cannot find my song] is one of their most known songs, originally written by Valter Ojakäär and sung by Heli Lääts in 60s (this version is also available in Youtube).

Oma laulu ei leia ma üles

Üle vainude valendav aur,

Vahulillede udune voodi.

Igaühel on südamelaul,

Igaühel on see isemoodi.

      misty bed of foam flowers.

      Everyone has a heart song

ja nad tulevad männikumäelt,

kõige viimane udus veel ujub.

I call the late songs home

and they come from the pineforest-covered hill,

the last one is still swimming in mist.]

Lala...

udus ripuvad kellukakannud,

kuna kõik nad siit karjamaalt sõid,

nüüd üks vallatu plehku on pannud.

[Everyone probably know my songs here,

Bellflowers are hanging in the mist,

As all of them ate on this meadow,

Now one frisky one has ran away.]

Lala...

Üle vainude valendav aur,

mul on närbunud karukell süles.

Igaühel on siin oma laul

ja ma oma ei leiagi üles...

    [Mist gleaming over meadows,

I have a withered pasqueflower in my arms.

Everyone have their own song here

      And I cannot find mine...]
