Arabic is a labial language, it has 28 letters, we cant' say that it has vowels and consonants but it has what we call in arabic ' achidda ', it means " stress letter " in english. it's a letter which can be placed in the middle word, it sound as one letter doubled or spoken twice at the same phoneme. it has a symbol in arabic calligraphy as ّّ .
