I am learning Arabic on my own, and I know that there are a few dialects that are used just about anywhere. The book I have uses 3 different ones when it teaches vocabulary (Egyptian, Levantine and Formal/Written). Which one of these 3 is the more common or most useful of them?
Thanks!!

laula7August 2017 The dialects dialectic are the most widespread and certainly can not count the most. For example, in Egypt 90 million Egyptians speak the Egyptian dialect and in Syria, Palestine or the Levant, there is the dialect of Shami, Palestinian, Jordanian, and Lebanese. They have different dialects in each country, with simple differences. North Africa, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and Saudi Arabia And the Gulf in general is difficult to enumerate but we can say that the written Arabic language is the best and most prevalent in books and translations, you have to take the original is the classical Arabic and not interested in dialects very often, if you like a certain tone, you have to learn it is easy but the most important is the original Arabic standard language is the language of the Koran |
mahmoud_syJuly 2017 hi there, based on my experience I recommend the Levantine because it's the closest to the standard Arabic and it's very common. wish you the best (: |
