wanted to know what is mama means in kurdish

Hi,

I have a male friend hes a kurdish, I wonder why his friends calling each other mama, as far as i know if a male calling each other like mama, honey, babe, that means there GAY,  Please anybody out there help me to find out what it means.

i  dont  know in which part of kurdistan  s ur friend ,  mama s mean UNCLE  in english but u must be know that  some time kurdish ppl  used this word between the frendz mama= MY DEAR FRIEND , mama = MASTER  o  some things like that

His name is Mehmed Emin or Mahmoud? Or Muhammed?

I call my friends whose name is Mehmed as  MÂMÊ

sweety,  mama means  uncle,,  it is very common for guys call each other mama . . it doesnt have anything to do with being gay. ..

so when some one calls the other guys mama, he calls him that because he has respect for that other person and is just like a family to him (like an uncle)    so  thats way some people call each other mama . .. its a nice way of namin ur friend !

I think his name is Mehmed or Mahmut or something else.they call him as "mame" which doesnt mean babe, mama or something else...deal?
