I have read the name Renaz is of Kurdish origin. It is used as a female and male first name. Can you tell me its meaning or etymology? I would be interested in both.

It should be as Rênas.  "Rê" = "Road/Way" "nas kirin" = "to know" and there "nas" = "somebody who knows" and it's used as a suffix in many Kurdish words.

The meaning of the name is "Leader, Guide, somebody who knows the way"
