Confused about the phrase 我是从中国来的

I know this means "I am from China" which is why I'm confused about 来的. Wouldn't the phrase be fine without that added at the end? Why is that added and what do the characters do to change the meaning of the phrase? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks

"是……的”is a typical sentence pattern in Chinese.We use this sentence pattern to tell informations like "from where","how;in what way""with whom""when" that a behavior is done."我是从中国来的“”means I came all the way from China,not from other countries.
Another example:
我是和他一起来的。I came here together with him.

“我是从中国来的“is spoken Chinese .you can remember that as native expression .Fighting !!!

it can't say " 我是从中国" --> it like " S+adv.+O" and didn't have " V(verb.) "

" 来=verb. 的 " ; in chinese it will say：你=you、我=me、他=he、她=she，你的=your，她的=her

    and you also use 是的 when you want to agree with something . let me get you a example :
    A : Hi - 您 好
    B:: you're chinese？- 你是中国人?
    A : yes, i'm chinese - 是的，我是中国人.

    Vietlawyer do you know, 我 - it's mean ( I,me) and come from - mean 来自, 中国 - china . when you're want to talk : i come from.... you should say that:我来自...(location) - 位置. good luck my friend
