I'm wanting to learn Japanese. Beginner advice?

I'm a highschool student in South Dakota that is wanting to learn Japanese. I'm taking this very serious as japanese is a language that I've wanted to learn since I was a little kid. I'm open for anything, looking for advice, tips.. anything will help(:
