Hi all
I am trying to figure out how to pronounce ' क्ष '...which I've seen written as ks or ksh. None of the materials I have read have been able to describe how to pronounce this sound correctly. Can anyone help explain it to me? Also, if you know of any common vocabulary that might start with this sound, or provide a link to an audio clip with this sound, it would be very helpful.
Thanks a lot!

![]() | horizonraysAugust 2009 well first of all what are you learning nepali or hindi ? never mind your problem with ksha , ks ksh क्ष > > its pronounced a cha like kshatriya or kṣatriya > > chaa-trie-yaa kshtra or ksatra > > > chaa-traa kshitij > > shee-tee-ja hope this solves your problem |
![]() | AnythingForIndiaAugust 2016 You mix it in with the vowel that comes before. If the previous word does not end with a vowel you add an "a" in the middle while saying E.g. मुझे क्षमा = मुझेक् षमा (mujhe kshama = mujhek shama) E.g. 2 हम क्षमा = हमक् षमा (ham kshama = hamak shama) |
