is German really tough?

Hello people!

I am ayhan and I live in Istanbul, Turkey. Previosly I was intented to learn German but I was lately discouraged by a friend that it is a tough language to learn. Personally I don't think any language is hard as long as you are focused enough. Is it really tough compared to eng for ex?
