What's the difference between "I consider myself a good man" and "I consider myself to be a good man"?

I would use "I consider myself to be a good man" the other is improper.

Hi there, the two phrases mean exactly the same. I would just say that the second phrase is more complete English (I would use this in more formal written communications)

    Do you mean that the second phrase is more appropriate for formal communications and the first - for colloquial?
