alecoibaMarch 2023 Had is the past of Have. Would is an auxiliary verb. It all depends on what the sentence says: ”I´d (I would) like to eat at Linda´s Restaurant. (Here, the auxiliary verb Would, is connected to ”Like”. Would you like to eat at Linda´s Restaurant? (Same use but as a Question). In questions you can not say d´you d´I. Would has to be after the pronoun. I had a nice dinner at Linda´s Restaurant. You can use have like this: I´ve (I have) had so many girlfriends in my life. But you can not use had like this: I´d. As you can see, it is not very difficult. |
