Use, in this instance, the term "figures" (i.e., = "numbers").

Figures. In the case of "unemployment figures would soon drop" you're referencing the known numbers, and a graph is the visual representation of those numbers. The numbers can drop, and the graph would show that. The graphs per se are never affected, only the numbers they show.
