"Make for something" as you can see means that the subject will be suitable to create the object (something). • Bring about: The customer service will about good patronage. "Bring about" means that the subject will result in the occurrence of the object. In other words, it means "cause". So while "make for something" means "being suitable to create", "bring about" means "will cause". |

AussieInBgOctober 2020 ”make for” would be used in spoken English in the south of the US. It’s dialect.
