I think the main difference is that none refers to countable objects (or people) or quantifiable amounts. For example, you could say "None of them ate," "None of them were edible," or "None of the cookies were left." All refer to something that actually exists or existed which is countable or quantifiable in some way. Obviously I'm hungry! Off to breakfast, haha!

hi the difference is that none refers to a person examples: no one is talking, no one tell me about it... and nothing is sinonym of inexistent like: nothing is more terrible than this, there is nothing there...
