how should I pronounce ”-ing”?

i want to know the correct pronunciation words with the -ing ending. "in" or "ing" ?

In thing the pronunciation "IN" (without the G) is used more in familiar, slang, street language : Like : a little somethin'

and "ING" is more correct.

It's hard to explain but the "g" has a subtle pronunciation. It's not hard like in the word dog.

    I am interested too. I say for example "in" for "playing" and "ing" for "meeting". Am i wrong? and many people do the same.
