I would like to know , how often do you use phrasal verbs in your spoken English ?
I try to learn them , but it is terrible for me .
Are there any differency betwin these sentences :
I tried to get out of the whole thing . I tried to avoid the whole thing ?
And Do you English people have to learn phrasl verbs ? Or Do you know them - from birthday ?
Best wishes

![]() | ooopsNovember 2007 Hi, Phrasal verbs are a problem. I'm learning English too and I use tv-shows and movies to train myself. It seems that people use a lot of phrasal verbs in spoken English. Writen English is more formal and easier to understand, and you can read a sentence three times if you need to... ![]() It would be great if we could find a list of the mostly used phrasal verbs here, in a topic, on Polyglot. Maybe it has already been done, somewhere on this website. Let me know how many mistakes I have made in this post. |
