This is a modern gothic novel which has a lot of description.
The details take you back to Paris during the year 1956.
- Each sentence seems to have been thought before being written in a way to touch the reader’s soul.
This book is about dark and painful themes.
- By reading this book, I felt like I was in a boat on a trip, tosed about as if in a storm, but the writer’s pen is sop poetic that it gives you the ability to spread your wings and fly away from the tragedies.
- To me, this book and particularly the author’s writing style transcends pain to better get through it.
