  • Eric’s morning routine

  • Eric comes from France.
  • He has been learning English for 5 months.
    • Now he has an English class with private teacher.
  • His teacher asks him to tell about his daily morning routine.
    • Eric: Before going to sleep I always set an alarm at 7 am.
    • First, an alarm goes off at 7 o’clock, it’s time to wake up.
  • Mostly I’m very tired and this can take a while.
  • After I go to have a shower to feel refreshed.
  • It takes just 5 minutes and then I brush my teeth and shave.
    • When I finish , I always tidy my room before leaving the house.
    • I like coming home to a clean room .
  • Afterwards, I go downstairs to have breakfast.
    • Breakfast is most important meal for day, so I always make time for breakfast.
    • Today, I’m having tea with some toasts.
  • Sometimes I have cereal with a cup of tea.
  • I never drink coffee in the mornings.
  • So when I finish my breakfast I go back upstairs to brush my teeth again and get dressed.
  • At 8 o’clock I’m all ready for the day ahead of me and it’s time to leave the house.
  • I always try to leave the house early.
  • I drive to work by car.
    • It doesn’t take for a long time if there is no traffic jams. So that’s it!
