• Here are the main lines that defin my teaching methods : First of all, I attach great importance to the classroom atmosphere.

• This place should be a place of personal growth, free of conflict, fights or even negative judgment.

• The child must feel safe – affective and educational – in class.

• He will be able to develop his self-confidence.

• Respect is the first quality on which I emphasize from the beginning of the year.

• Each student comes to class with their strengths, weaknesses and center of interest.

• It is obvious that a single pedagogy cannot suit everyone: I attach great importance to valuing each one’s personality.

• For this, I have several strategies for each student to feel successful: personalized support, pedagogical differentiation, and I offer different learning methods according to the needs of each one.

• I also work with educational projects.

• I am convinced that having a concrete goal helps students in learning process.

• For example, in a foreign language, we do not learn vocabulary aimlessly, the vocabulary is worked on and reinvested in projects : creation of a book, conversational activity, … I use explicit teaching techniques.

• For example, when I give an exercise, the student knows exactly the items he must work on to pass it.

• There is no trap, nor bad surprise.

• Thus, the evaluation reflects better each student’s work, and establishes mutual trust (I am there to help them, not to trap them).

• I also chose to assign fewer grades in favor of the concept of skills.

• A raw exam score cannot reflect the subtleties of a student’s work: I prefer to define a personal objective (by involving the student – this is a form of contract between us) and, at the end of the period learning process, assess whether this objective has been achieved or not.

• I think that this method is more rewarding and takes into account the individuality of each child.
