Is it worth investing money in developing space science when there is starvation, uncured diseases and other life-or-deaf issues on the Earth?

Some people might say that it’s better to focus on dealing with these real problems instead of spending so valuable resources on exploring space.

The first and foremost reason for it is unpredictable knowledge that humanity might discover in space.

Astronauts might find unknown substances and life forms that will help to solve acute ecological or health problems on our planet.

The second reason is motivation and inspiration of the young generation.

Millions of kids all over the world grow up with the burning ambition to become an astronaut someday.

Many of them have already become scientists who make a difference in our real life today.

The last but not least thing that I would like to mention is spending priorities.

I believe that if countries have got a considered balanced budget program and they cooperate with each other, there will be opportunity to divert investments and they will find the resources for the space science.

In conclusion, I believe that there are many ways to cut costs but saving money by not getting new knowledge is never should be considered as one of them.
