- In the late 1600s, there was a pirate named William Kidd.
- He and his men were capturing ships and stealing money from them.
- He hid his money in different places.
- Captain Kidd captured by The English in Boston and executed.
- People from all the world started to search for Captain Kidd’s money.
- People who lived in Boston believed that Captain Kidd buried some of his treasures in Boston.
- In the early 1700s, there was a bad man.
- His name was Tom Walker.
- He loved money more than anything.
- His wife was worse than him.
- She also loved money.
- One day, Tom was rest under a tree.
- He dug into the earth with a stick and found an ax into a human skull.
- Tom saw a giant sitting on a broken tree.
- The giant asked him, ” what are you doing on my land”.
- Tom said, ”This land belongs to Mister Peabody”.
- The giant said, ” This land belongs to me a long time before Englishmen came here”.
- The giant offered Captain Kidd’s treasures to Tom, but he asked for time to think.
- Tom told his wife about what had happened.
- She argued him to accept the offer, but he refused.
- At last, Misses Walker decided to do what Tom refused to do.
- She went to see the giant, but she didn’t return home.
- She was never seen again.
- Tom went to the place where he met the giant.
- He saw his wife’s cloth hanging in a tree.
- He opened her cloth and found only a human heart.
- One night, Tom met the giant and offered his soul in exchange for Captain Kidd’s treasures.
- The giant wanted more than that.
- He wanted Tom to work as a leader.
- Tom accepted that, so the giant gave him the treasures.
- Tom became the richest man in Boston.
- He became a leader as the giant asked him.
- He began to worry, what would happen when he died?
- Tom then became very religious.
- He thought that if he prayed enough, he could escape from the Devil.
- One day, Tom took the land of a man who had borrowed money.
- The poor man asked for more time to pay.
- Tom got angry and said, ”Let the Devil take me if I have taken any money from you!”.
- That was the end of Tom Walker.
- Nobody ever saw him again.
