  • New Year’s Cookies

  • This December my friend and I cooked ginger cookies in anticipation of the New Year.
  • It is not our first cookie experiment.
  • Last time we cooked cookies-deer.
  • We specially bought red dragee for noses and painted antlers and eyes with melted chocolate.
  • This time we bought cookie cutters and decorated cookies with icing.
    • It was flight of fancy.
    • We painted whatever comes to mind - snowflakes, deer, Father Frost, gingerbread Man and so on.
    • Actually the result wasn’t as beautiful as you can see on New Year’s fairs or on pictures in the Internet.
  • Usually there it’s like a real piece of art - delicate and painstaking work.
    • We painted by plain white icing using a match.
    • But it was funny evening, which set the mood for New Year.
  • Then we gave a box of those cookies to our friends.
    • So although this year we didn’t celebrate much (I even worked on the New Year’s night) we met the year quite good.
    • I hope that it will be so unhurried, relaxed and pleasant.
    • I even didn’t make a list of goals as I used to do.
  • Last year I didn’t reach any of my goals - life is so changeable.
    • So come what may! I wish you also slow down and just enjoy your life!
