  • He did not wear shoes because he did not have feet.
  • A wooden stick kept him standing erect on the ground and he never moved.
  • He liked being in the field.
  • He could watch the sunrise every morning.
  • He saw clouds drift in the sky.
  • At night, he stared at the moon and counted stars.
  • He was really into his work.
    • He shooed the crows- the black big foxy birds caused harm to farms.
  • They stole seeds that were just sown.
  • They pecked at vegetables when the leaves just started to grow.
    • The scarecrow realized that if there was not him, nothing could grow.
